Kathryn Prusila

I'm a Minnesota Licensed Teacher with a Masters in Education and have been involved with teaching children for nearly 10 years. I have had a variety of experiences teaching and tutoring children of all ages and abilities, including those with a learning disability and/or attention disorder.

My goal at youCan Tutoring is to provide a tutoring service that empowers children to reach their full potential and have a sense of accomplishment. Although, I have had great experiences teaching within the schools, I have found that my heart belongs in tutoring. I absolutely love to teach children one-on-one. It's such a great opportunity to form a relationship with them and truly understand how they learn best. And to hear that one of my students WANTS to read at home or is able to proudly bring home an A on their math test is one of the best feelings in the world for me! I love being able to be a part of that!

We offer specialized one-on-one tutoring to help your child learn and grow. At youCan Tutoring, we believe that every child learns differently, therefore we are very innovative in our teaching techniques and we will create a customized tutoring program specific to your child's needs. When you enroll your child with us, you will have the opportunity to create your child's private profile on our website. After each session the tutor will post what they worked on with your child, how it went and what they will be working on next session. This wonderful service enables the parent and/or teacher to interact with the tutor with questions or comment online at their convenience. In addition to being able to easily communicate with your child's tutor, there will also be tutorials for common challenges among the students, links to reading material for your child as well as articles of interest for the parents.

We provide supplemental material for our students that are chosen specifically for that child. Since we believe that every child learns differently, why should we use the same learning materials and teaching methods for each student?

Our goal is not only to help your child succeed academically but also to gain self-confidence!
